ABOUT US
Priority One DJs, was established in Sydney back in 1992 operated til 1994 (then taking a long break). Priority One was the best known DJ crew of its time it Influenced some of the biggest DJs in Sydney of the late 90's & early 2000 (check this interview) shout out to the homie DJ Tikelz. Priority One DJs are one of the true pioneers of the R&B and Hip Hop music in Australia. Priority One Djs was heavily involve in pushing the New Jack Swing music genre at a time when most djs was into Euro dance music eg. 2 Unlimited, The Real McCoy, Black Box, Culture Beat etc. They also brought a snippet of turntabalism in the dj scene as part of crowd rocking experience.
The advent of MP3s and Serato Scratch Live saw Priority One DJs re-boot itself in 2004 in 2 cities Sydney Australia and Los Angeles CA USA. In Sydney they started getting involve with some of the best event promoters and nightclubs including CAVE Nightclub at Sydney's Star City Casino. In California Priority One DJs started to get invites to DJ for Microsofts X-Box, Def Jam BBQ, Thud Rumble shows with DJ Q-Bert and a number of DJ sets to rock the locals in L.A., San Jose, San Diego, Las Vegas NV and San Francisco's Bay Area party crowd. During this time Priority One DJs also expanded its team to New Zealand.
Today Priority One DJs in its 4th Generation of DJ crew continues rocking crowds and also had the priviledge of playing for/alongside celebrities like The Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO Redfoo & Sky Blu, Steve Aoki, Tyga, Ice Cube, Kid Ink, Wiz Khalifa, Justin Bieber, DJ Felli Fel, Pitbull, A$AP Rocky & the A$AP Mob, Pharrell Williams, Teddy Riley & Blackstreet, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Lil Jon, Big Sean, Amethyst Amelia Kelly before she became known as Iggy Azalea, Method Man, Bobby Valentino, Naughty by Nature, NBA San Antonio Spurs, The Socceroos with Tim Cahill, NFL Superstar Reggie Bush, NBL's Sydney Kings, NRL's Cronulla Sharks etc. just to name a few.
